This past Saturday, residents of Sunpark Gardens came together for our annual work day – and what a success it was! Under a bright spring sun and with plenty of good spirits, neighbors rolled up their sleeves to give our shared spaces the love they deserve.

Throughout the morning and early afternoon, the sound of rakes, brooms, and laughter filled the air as we tackled a range of tasks. Flower beds were weeded and replanted, hedges trimmed, and the walking paths were cleared of winter debris. Several volunteers gave the playground equipment a thorough cleaning, while others repainted benches and swept the courtyard.

Perhaps most heartwarming of all was the sense of community. Longtime residents worked side by side with newer faces, and many brought their children along to help or play nearby. After the work was done, everyone gathered around the common lawn for coffee, juice, and a homemade cake or two.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, and especially to those who helped organize the day and brought tools or refreshments. Days like these are what make Sunpark Gardens more than just a place to live – they make it a home.
